On May 1 st , we will be beginning the 31 Days of Prayer. This will be an
exciting time for us to come together as a church and devote the month of May to fervently
pray on behalf of our church. This is something that every person in our church can participate
in – a devoted time to come before our heavenly Father and ask Him for the things that we
desire to do as a body of believers.

The goal is to have people praying each day of the month, and we are asking for one
dedicated hour of prayer from each person. If we all participate, there will be multiple people
praying on each day, all throughout the month of May. How amazing would that be! And remember,
this is more than just asking our Father for His blessing…this is time that we get to spend with
Him, enjoying His presence and praising Him for who He is.

You’re free to pray alone, or with others…however you choose. The following are some specific things that you can be praying for:

For our Church
  • Children’s Ministry: for more leaders and teachers, to be ready for full implementation by the fall of 2021. For activities over the summer (Cross-Training & other kids’ programs) that will help children learn more about Jesus and the gospel
  • Worship Team: for God’s hand in helping lead the team through a time of transition, for the Spirit’s leading each Sunday as they lead our church in worship through music
  • Men’s Ministry: for God to provide leadership and vision to help build up the men in our church
  • Women’s Ministry: for continued growth and fellowship among the women in our church
  • Youth Ministry: for continued growth and for students’ hearts to be drawn closer to the Lord
  • Pray for Pastor Scott and the Hesler family during this sabbatical time. Pray for physical and spiritual refreshment, for increased intimacy with the Lord, and for how He is preparing them for their return to church ministry
  • For God’s hand on our preaching and teaching ministry at PBC
  • For God’s wisdom and protection for the leadership at PBC
  • Praise God for all the new families that have been joining us at PBC. Pray that we would reach out to new visitors and guests and help them connect with us
  • Pray for our upcoming projects: kitchen renovations, fellowship hall renovations, bathroom renovations, construction of sheds
  • Pray that as a church we can serve our community and be salt and light to those who God has placed around us – as a church and as individual members. Praise God for the opportunities that He has given us up until now to do so
For our Missionaries
  • Catherine Coon (WorldVenture – Hope Alive! – Uganda)
  • Matthew and Sarah Majewski – Lansing, Iowa
  • Karl and Jenny Teichert – One Challenge – South Africa
  • Joel and Elaine Loewen – Send International – Japan
  • For our partnership with Dominion Christian School, that we would each grow and benefit from it
